Tom Davies first goal for Bristol Rovers helped the West Country side up to fourth in League One as they saw MK Dons at the Memorial Stadium off.
The first half was a drab affair, with the home side coming closest after Tom Nichols drove wide after the ball was given to him Tyler Smith, while Conor McGrandles saw his shot sail over the bar for the visitors.
Without the clinical finishing of top scorer Jonson Clarke-Harris, the guys of Graham Coughlan were lacking a cutting edge – but four minutes after the restart the deadlock was broken by them.
Moments earlier, Dons keeper Lee Nicholls had denied from a yard out Davies, however, the remained upfield to film Luke Leahy delivery beyond the Rovers stopper.
Ed Upson could have placed the Gas two objectives ahead shortly after when Nicholls palmed away his rasping drive from 25 yards.
MK Dons awakened the pressure late , but it was not sufficient to prevent a fifth straight League One overcome, while Bristol Rovers extended their unbeaten league run to six matches.
